Hatkalupara Union at a glance

Hatkalupara Union is situated on the south bank of Atrai river in the west of Atrai upazila. Its administrative building is in traditional Bandaikhara village. In 1855, the present Naogaon district was a river port under Bandaikhara thana. (Daily Janakantha 13/1/2002 AD). Here I am a witness of tomorrow The Siddheshwari temple built during the reign of Ballal Sen (1160-117) stands. The Bandaikhara Badyabhumi bears the memory of 1971. So today the Hatkalupara Union has maintained its own tradition in various fields including education, culture, religious ceremonies and sports.
